‟We get away together. We do life together. We study God's word together. And we make decisions as a team, together. That’s how Houston Interiors started and that’s why it's successful today”

In April of 2024, Dora Lopez joined the Houston Interiors family as she stepped into the role of our Administrative Assistant. After 14 years in the Oil and Gas industry, Dora decided it was time for a change. She took a few months off, allowing God to guide her next steps, then found herself in her first interview with Molly, Kim, and David. She immediately felt she was where God had intended her to go as new faces quickly became new friends, she accepted the offer and now excels in her role.

As our Administrative Assistant, Dora works alongside both Molly and Kim in our accounting processes and ensures all our materials end up in the right hands amongst a myriad of other duties. There are no small tasks for Dora as she handles every matter with the utmost care and professionalism.

Outside of Houston Interiors, Dora Lopez is all about family, travel, and the Houston Astros. Dora and her husband of 30 years love to travel - even if just to grab breakfast a couple cities away on a Saturday morning. Cruises, new wineries or breweries, and anything off-grid make the top of their travel list. Of course they can’t forget their two adult daughters, both of whom also love to travel, and will plan a big family vacation at least once a year. When they do stay in town, the Lopezes are making their way to every Astros event they can from spring training to The World Series. And if one day you can’t find Dora at all – check her favorite cabin in Arkansas.

Favorite Quote:

"Do to others as you would have them do to you"

In Dora's words:

"I read that to myself every morning before I get out of my car. It’s just the basic thing we were taught as kids. To me it takes a lot of energy to get mad and be mean or ugly or rude… it’s just easier to smile at someone because you don’t know what a person is going through and that simple smile might change their life… to just be nice, be courteous, or be thoughtful. That’s how I try to live my life at least.”
