Dustin Ferguson has served as an Estimator for the Houston Interiors team since he joined in August of 2018. With over 20 years of management experience, 5 years of project management experience, and a carpenter by trade, Dustin is a key player in our bidding and project management processes, taking the lead estimator position on the majority of our office and medical projects.
Prior to Dustin working at Houston Interiors, he and David Maniscalco knew one another from serving on ministry weekends known as Tres Dias. They had very little interaction outside of serving on these weekends, but God had greater plans for their relationship. Back in August of 2018, Dustin was looking to get into the commercial construction industry when David sent a text to the wrong “Dustin” in his contacts. They got to talking, we were looking for a project manager, so we brought Dustin in for an interview, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Dustin, his wife, and their blended six kids make up the modern-day Brady Bunch out in Tomball, Texas where they attend and serve at church as a family. Outside of church, setting aside quality family time with eight moving parts can prove to be quite difficult, but they always find a way to eat dinner together and manage a weekly family movie night in the backyard; complete with a projector and a pool-side snack bar filled with candy and homemade popcorn.
“I am unashamed of the Gospel of Christ...”
“It’s one of my tattoos. It's kind of like that candle stick, if you're going to be ashamed of it why would you cover it up? When it's on a stand you light it up so it lights up the whole room. So in the same token I can't be ashamed of who I am or who God is to me in my room because that’s pretty much why we’re on the Earth. One, to glorify him and two, to spread the gospel. And you can't do that if you’re ashamed.”
